This is my first time purchasing from this author , and Subhanallah I am so thankful for her intentionality and comprehensively fun method of storytelling as a beautiful means of connecting our little ones to Allah, prayer and our purpose. In addition to the beautiful brown characters and wonderful illustration, the easy to read flow of the story keeps the children captivated and engaged. Prayers are one of the most beautiful important parts of a Muslim life. I don’t think it should have a age limit, I’m a grandmother and I was just as excited for it to arrive and give to my grandchildren as gifts. Being a former teacher this would be a great addition to elementary schools and libraries. The story is true to life and the illustration helps to keep young and old readers engaged. The colors are very vivid. The glossary is a great addition to the steps in prayer and is easily explained by the author. I will be purchasing more copies. This book is for young and old alike. What a treasure for Muslims families as well as insightful and educational for nonMuslims. My daughters and I received the book this week and couldn’t put it down. I have older and younger children and they all enjoyed learning more about the 5 Pillars of Islam and offering Salah. They also couldn’t stop talking about learning how to Talk to Allah! I especially loved the illustrations. I was proud to show my girls that the author is an African American Muslimah from our city. We will be ordering her book Bashirah and the Amazing Bean Pie next. Hadith and Quran are included, which encourages children to learn a bit more. And the fun activities that kids can do with their families is the icing on the cake. Loved it!
